In a transitional sense" Hummingbird " is exactly where we hoped Local Natives, after a three year absence from recording, would follow on from " Gorilla Manor."

Aaron Dessner from the National was an inspired choice. As was Raymond Richards in the earlier production of Gorilla Manor.

Our favorite song from Hummingbird was " Ceilings ". In fact we liked it so much we included our interpretation of " Ceilings " in our " Living Room Sessions" series.
